what is blogging

A blog is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is “blogging” and someone who keeps a blog is a “blogger.Blogging is very popular today because it allows people to interact with each other.Blogging is not very different from a website in that the objectives are very much the same and that is to deliver relevant content to the user. What makes blogging different is that it is meant to be more specific on topic, smaller and more frequent inserts and encourages reader interaction through feedback mechanisms. now the advantages of are your can post whatever you want on your blog, your feelings of the day, you can vent and you can share stories that the common man understands, and people can respond give advice and maybe if your lucky even comfort you.As we all know there is a bad side to everything and that's if you post something negative not everyone will appreciate it and you may begin to receive hate mail, which can be kinda scary, but that comes with the territory. Not all blogs use comments – but most do. This blog is not a monologue but a conversation. You can give me feedback on almost everything I write simply by clicking the ‘comments’ link at the bottom of each one of my posts. I hope this gives u insight to what this is all about.......Holla at your boy

there are bully's on the internet too

I've never thought that you could be bullied by someone you cant see.As strange as it may seem this is a reality, cyberbulling is very real. Cyberbullying is whereby a child, preteen or teen is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen or teen using the Internet. Young children are not only being tormented at school but in your homes as well which is suppose to be a safe haven. This calls for all parents because parents need to be the one trusted place kids can go when things go wrong online so they can put an end to these atrocities. This issue is happening under your kids noses and most of the time you don't know its happening. Action needs to be taken and the first thing to do is to is being educated by our kids, now kids since you have been given an opportunity to teach your parents, don't squander it by acting ignorant to the situation at hand but think of it as a way to get help or help others or think of it as a way to school your parents, these chances don't present themselves that often. Tell me your experiences, what you have heard or anything about this topic and help me spread awareness of this crime. Holla at your boy............

is trust a luxury while using the internet

Your work schedule is hectic, and you don't have time to go but those new shoes you've been meaning to buy all week, you decide to go online to buy your shoes and get them shipped to you. The question is that a really good idea, is it safe, can you trust someone you cant see to sell you shoes and ship them top you without being ripped off. There have bin cases were e people are buying things and never receiving them or paying more than what is stipulated, don't get me wrong there are a lot of people who go online and are very successful but others are not so lucky. Who should be responsible for making sure that these websites are safe, government or advocacy groups, and who would be more reliable. there are safe websites and those which are waiting for unsuspecting people to make a quick dollar off them. What should be done to these prowlers and is there enough awareness about these websites. I want know what you guys think about this and what we can do to make the internet a safer place if it is not to be trusted. Holla at your boy........

who are we on the internet

The other day i was talking on air and someone was listening to my show on the net. So i had a little competition going on and this person won, a day with me as a co- host. So the day arrives and this 16 year old girl shows up claiming to be that person, she validated everything with her i.d, passport, mean while i had a picture of this grown up women. I found this rather hysterical, which brings me to my point, do we lie more on the internet. I mean when your sitting behind your laptop at home or on your desktop at work and your sending an e-mail whether it be work related or personal, what is easier to lie or to tell the truth. Research tells us that people lied 50% more when writing business related e-mails, and another study shows that people r more likely to lie to co-workers than strangers. Now that one got me a bit stirred up, imagine that someone you have worked with for 15 years would be more likely to lie to you than someone they have not even met. Is this research accurate? A thought then popped into my head, that yes this could be possible, you have got to think this through. We as a human race want approval and we know how our colleagues think so we know they will tell us something we want to hear but strangers will tell you the truth because we don't know them. Now i want you to tell me from your own experiences what you think is true, do you think we are prone to lying more when we are sending e-mails or are these researchers going crazy and have nothing better to do........ identity theft...is it really that bad?

Identity theft is a crime that the public has least information on it. Identity theft is a form of fraud in which someone pretends to be someone else by assuming that person's identity, typically in order to access resources or obtain credit and other benefits in that persons name. Identity thieves usually target all the members of society. They utilise information such as bank accounts or health records which people usually post on their profiles in the internet. They use methods such as hacking infiltrate the accounts of the victim and steal the necessary information the need e.g credit card number. They then use this information to pass themselves off as the victim they acquired the information from. Members of the public are not really aware of this crime as it is not usually given such attention by the media but it is a worsening entity. People have this false image that the internet is safe but in reality they couldn't be more mistaken. The internet is not secure and information (which is very powerful) is siphoned out everyday. Awareness of the dangers of internet crimes needs to be raised and the general public needs to be warned. Do you think that identity theft is really that big a deal? feel free to comment. holla at your boy............
